    Hey, I posted a question on the help group awhile ago about image desaturation, and I just checked the thread again, because I found the solution a couple weeks ago, and saw that you had the same problem. the issue is with firefox -- you have to install an add-on so that it recognizes the color profile of the images you upload. bad news is that everyone who checks out your site needs the add-on to see good color. here's the link -- http://rebeccamaking.blogspot.com/2009/03/for-truer-color.html
